Sophie has always nurtured a fascination in clinically related negligence and is a member of the Medio-Legal Society of Leeds. Sophie’s role in Applebys Clinical Negligence Team includes involvement in the highly specialised Birth Injury Unit and Sophie is now the lead Solicitor in Birth Injury litigation for Applebys.
Sophie is a member of The Birth Trauma Association that aims to support women suffering from Post Natal Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other birth trauma. Sophie has written numerous articles on the medico-legal aspects of both antenatal and postnatal healthcare and is an active campaigner for patient safety and patient rights.
