Khalid Khan, the Finance Manager for Applebys Solicitors, successfully completed the Bradford City 5K Run on the 30th October and which was organised to raise funds for the Bradford Burns Unit.
Khalid had participated last year but was determined to improve on his time so was delighted to shave a further minute off his time coming in in just over 27 minutes and coming in 49th from over 400 entrants!

Khalid commented that ‘It was a great event to take part in and to help raise funds for such an important cause.’ He continued ‘The whole day was made even more special in that my parents who are visiting from Pakistan were able to cheer me on.’
The Bradford Burns Unit is a world renowned burns research facility set up at the University of Bradford following the Bradford City fire disaster at Valley Parade in 1985 and which resulted in the death of 56 people.
